No group will be relied upon more in 2023 than the Oregon State offensive line and no one player on that front five carries the load more fiercely than the 6’ 4”, 300 pound earth mover himself, Joshua Gray. So, it’s no surprise that the left tackle comes in at the #3 spot in our Top 20 Oregon State players countdown.
#3) Joshua Gray

Defensive lines might lose to Joshua Gray on most Saturdays, but at least half of that defeat begins sometime earlier in the week, when after seeing the physical offensive lineman on film, surely the opposition change their game-plan to simply keep the NFL offensive line prospect contained and hopefully, not from dominating the whole game. You have to appreciate the idea and the sentiment behind that notion, but it’s just not usually the case. At the end of the day, Joshua Gray is going to do what he’s intended to do.
Leading the charge that helped to make running back Damien Martinez one of the Pac-12 (and the country’s) most lethal running threats, Gray is the type of teammate that never will receive his due credit, yet stands as maybe the biggest - literally and figuratively - on this Oregon State squad. The old adage is a team goes as a certain player goes and while the Beavers offensive line as a core is one of the best groupings that the country has, there’s few lineman that can impact a game like Gray can when he’s on. No doubt about it, he should be the best companion to Martinez and quarterback DJ Uiagalelei all season long.
