We’re over to the Defensive Line for the second name on our countdown of the top 20 players to watch in the 2023 Oregon State Football season. Today, we’re taking a look at Junir D-Lineman Sione Lolohea.

#19) Sione Lolohea

After arriving in Corvallis in 2021, Lolohea saw a big jump in his time on the field in 2022. He started in seven games and made appearances in 12. He racked up 33 total tackles, 6.0 tackles for a loss, and 2.0 sacks. One of those sacks came against Florida in the Beavers big win in the Las Vegas Bowl.

After the season Lolohea was named an Honorable Mention on the All Pac-12 Team. He was immediately penciled in as a full time starter on this season’s depth chart by many in the press. Given another year of development, Lolohea has the potential to be the Beavers next great pass rusher, and while there have been some changes on the D-Lineman, with Lolohea and James Rawls it should still be a strength for the Beavers.

That’s all for today, tomorrow we’ll be staying on the defensive side of the ball, but taking a look at the linebacker group.
