Today on our countdown of 30 of Oregon State Football’s most important players for the 2022 season we turn our attention to the offensive line for the first time. Last year’s O-Line was one of the best in the nation, setting up huge improvements in both the run and passing games. After losing a couple players in the offseason, the offensive line is in line for a few adjustments.

One of the biggest departures for the Beavers was Center Nathan Eldridge. A veteran leader on the line, replacing Eldridge is one of the hardest tasks the Beavers had this offseason. Sliding into that spot will be Jake Levengood. Levengood started 8 games at left guard last season, but missed a few weeks with an ankle injury.

Levengood has some experience at center, and has played nearly every position on the line. That versatility should come in handy if the Beavers need to make adjustments, but with the way the line is coming together Levengood should have ample opportunity to build up his skill at center, and with his skills the Beavers shouldn’t lose to much of a step from last season.
