We’re shifting to offense for today’s countdown entry. With B.J. Baylor now a Green Bay Packer, there’s going to be plenty of competition to be the Beavers’ next feature back. We’re looking at one of the candidates for the job today, Trey Lowe.

Key Stats

  • Appeared in all 13 Games last season
  • Rushed 56 times for 359 yards, with 1 touchdown and 6.4 yards per attempt.
  • Caught 23 receptions for 200 yards.

Lowe saw action last season mostly as a third down back. With his speed and his pass catching ability, Lowe excelled on long yardage situations. Oregon State’s backfield is going to be very competitive; Deshaun Fenwick and Damien Martinez will likely be battling it out for lead back duties while Jack Colletto coming in for short yardage situations, but Lowe should remain the Beavers best pass catching threat out of the backfield and should see a larger role in 2022.
