The college football season is just three weeks away! With the off-season quickly coming to an end, Building the Dam is unveiling their top 30 most valuable football players for the 2018 season. We’ll countdown by previewing one player at a time until it’s almost time for some Beaver football.
#14: Trevon Bradford - Wide Receiver
Bradford, a 6-0, 183 pound Oregon City native, is one of the few receivers on the Beavers with starting experience, with 2 starts in 2017. In his sophomore season, Bradford caught 11 passes for 204 yards, and also had one rush for 36 yards. He’s also an experienced punt returner, with 3 for 36 yards last season.
There will be a little upheaval in the wide receiver corps this season with Jordan Villamin’s departure. Bradford seems to be in line to get a full time starting position, but it’s going to be competitive. He was limited in the spring, and there is a great deal of young talent on the team, so he can’t afford to take it easy.
If he does start, expect Bradford to line up in the slot. With a lot of new faces on the offense, especially at quarterback, it will be necessary at times to get rid of the ball quick, and Bradford looks like he could be the man for the job.
