The college football season is just three weeks away! With the off-season quickly coming to an end, Building the Dam is unveiling their top 30 most valuable football players for the 2018 season. We’ll countdown by previewing one player at a time until it’s almost time for some Beaver football.

#22 Isaiah Dunn- Cornerback

With the departure of Xavier Crawford(who would have easily cracked the top 3 on this list) the cornerback position for the Beavs is about as wide open as it could be. Enter Isaiah Dunn. The cornerback joined the Beavs in the class of 2017 over offers from BYU, Hawaii, Nevada, San Diego State, Utah and others. Dunn was a member of the TMP elite 7 on 7 squad which became some what of an OSU pipeline during the Gary Andersen era.

Dunn saw the field in 7 games as a true freshman, 5 of which were starts. Throughout the 2017 campaign he compiled 28 tackles and a pass deflection. His best game came against Arizona State when he was in on 9 tackles and broke up a pass. The expectations will be a lot higher coming into his sophomore season. Many are expecting this to be a breakout season from the former 3 star prospect out of Antioch, California. The cornerback position will be one of the more interesting battles to watch during camp, with no real set starter and a lot of guys who will be trying to get on the field.

Will Dunn get it done? We’ll have to wait and see.

Was that pun worth it? Yes, yes it was.
