Fall camp is underway, and we’re just over a month away from the start of Beaver football. As we rev up our coverage, we’re going to be counting down 21 of the players who will make the most impact on the 2021 squad. Today, we’re staying on the offensive line with a look at guard Jake Levengood.
#12 - Jake Levengood
- Position: Offensive Line
- Class: RS Sophomore
- Height/Weight: 6’ 4”, 294lbs
- Hometown: Vacaville, California / Vacaville High School
The Beavers offensive line surprised a lot of people last season, and with the entire starting group returning in 2021 expectations are high. Jake Levengood was a large part of the unit’s improvement in 2020. He and Joshua Grey came in as full time starters last year and looked like seasoned vets, even with Levengood wearing a cast on his right hand for part of the season.
With another year of development and a set of healthy arms, Levengood could see a lot of improvement in 2021. He already brings a great amount of strength and power, and is already one of the team’s best run blockers. His pass blocking is not too shabby either, and while he’s been over shadowed by his line mates in terms of honors, this could be the year he finally starts getting All Conference notice.
