Fall camp is underway, and we’re just over a month away from the start of Beaver football. As we rev up our coverage, we’re going to be counting down 21 of the players who will make the most impact on the 2021 squad. Today, we’re taking a look at cornerback Rejzohn Wright.
#14 - Rejzohn Wright
- Position: Cornerback
- Class: Junior
- Height/Weight: 6’ 2”, 191 lbs
- Hometown: East Palo Alto, California / James Logan High School
As the younger brother of Oregon State star Nahshon Wright, there were a lot of expectations placed upon Rejzohn Wright when he transferred to Oregon State from Laney College. Rejzohn didn’t see a ton of playing time in 2020, picking up only 3 tackles.
Transferring in the middle of a pandemic hampered Rejzohn’s ability to gel with the team last season, but after impressive Spring and Fall practice’s this year, it looks like the Beavers could have another star DB on their team. Wright has improved his technique and added a lot of aggression and physicality to his game.
The departure of Nahshon Wright and Isaiah Dunn has created turnover in the Oregon State secondary, but there are a lot of players with breakout potential in the unit, none more so than Rejzohn Wright. He’ll be one of the most exciting players to watch this Fall.
