Our Most Valuable Player Countdown continues to #39; Redshirt Freshmen Hamilcar Rashed Jr. The talented Outside Linebacker looks to make a major leap in 2017. Rashed Jr. possesses impressive size ( 6-4, 233 lbs.) Last season, Rashed Jr. redshirted. However, he nearly had his redshirt pulled after numerous injuries at Outside Linebacker.

Hamilcar was a three-star prospect according to most recruiting sites. He was rated the 7th best prospect in the state of Arizona. He was all-state his Junior and Senior seasons in High School. During his Junior season, he once had 10 sacks in a game. Check out his highlights from high school. Notice his athleticism and aggression.

The Beaver coaching staff is very excited about the potential of Hamilcar Rashed Jr. He had a tremendous Spring. Hamilcar displayed his speed and athleticism during the spring. In addition, the coaching staff was impressed with his passion and energy. With his size and athleticism, Hamilcar could make a big impact on the Defense this season and be a nightmare for opposing Offenses. Defensive Coordinator Kevin Clune will have an abundance of talent at Outside Linebacker. Rashed has a bright future ahead of him. He could make a huge impact in 2017.
