- Pac-12 presidents have been discussing a shake-up in the conferences structure according to emails obtained by Jon Wilner of the Mercury News. It appears they are also seeking advisors and consultants for the Pac-12’s new media deal. Larry Scott’s agreement expires in the middle of 2022.
- Pac-12 to implement daily COVID-19 testing in ‘major step’ for sports. While this is great news for all Oregon State sports programs, it is still considered unlikely that the Pac-12 would be able to pull off a safe football season this fall. The testing machines will be delivered to campuses by the end of September.
- Last and definitely least in importance, Five Guys is coming to Corvallis.
I confirmed with the franchisee that Five Guys Burgers and Fries is coming to Corvallis and moving into the former Baja Fresh location on Ninth Street. Could be open sometime in November.

While this is good news in general and I do enjoy a juicy Five Guys burger. I will pick In-N-Out over Five Guys any day of the week (Don’t @ me). The price per burger is what really puts it over the top for me.
