Washington now joins Syracuse, New York native and east coast forward Jai Smith as the two current targets for Oregon State in the class of 2022.
A 6’ 4, 215-pound rising junior, Washington also holds scholarships at the moment from a bevy of mid-major programs including Bryant, Eastern Washington, Montana State, Pacific, Pepperdine and Portland State, in addition to one other Pac-12 offer from Washington State.
However, another factor to consider with Washington is that he is an extremely gifted dual-sport athlete, who also holds offers from California, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah State and the Beavers in football as well.
While Washington has yet to decide if he will specialize in one sport of handle the responsibilities of both at the next level, he did tell Scoopman TV back in May that in order to decide between basketball and football at the college level, he was simply go with his “...gut feeling. Which one is going to put me in the best situation for my future.”
