Game Notes / Oregon Game Notes

Oregon St. completes their 3 game road swing with a visit to Oregon for the 341st basketball battle of the Civil War. The Beavers are looking for their first sweep of the season Civil War series since 2010, after winning the first meeting 80-72 back on Jan. 19, which improved Oregon St.'s edge all time in the series to 185-154. The Ducks swept the series last season.

Both teams come in on 2 game losing streaks after disappointing results in the road trip to Arizona last weekend.

The Ducks dropped 2 point decisions in both Tucson and Tempe, losing 67-65 to the second ranked Wildcats, and then 74-72 to the Sun Devils.

The Beavers took Arizona St. to overtime, but fell 86-82, and then suffered the only loss of the trip that didn't go down to the last seconds, getting clobbered 76-54 by Arizona.

An Oregon St. win will get the Beavers back to .500 in conference play, which would be only the second time (with the 2004-05 NIT team) they have had that good a league record after a dozen games since 1993.

Whichever team wins, it will be a case of breaking trends, as Oregon is 1-3 at home in Pac-12 games, and Oregon St. is 1-5 on the road in conference contests.
