Oregon St. women's basketball coach Scott Rueck has received verbal commitments from a trio of northwest players, two from Oregon.

Three time Oregon 5A all-state selection Samantha Siegner from West Albany, one of the top prospects in the region, highlights the group.

Siegner, a 6'3" forward, led the Bulldogs to the 2011 5A State Championship game against Springfield, as West Albany came within 2 points of the title, before falling 42-40.

Siegner selected Oregon St. over offers from Oregon, Gonzaga, Washington St., Arizona St., and Kansas St., averaged 17.8 points and 10.5 rebounds in her junior season.

Jamie Weisner, a shooting guard from Clarkston, WA, was a star at the End of the Trail tournament in Oregon City last month.

Weisner, one of the top guard prospects in the northwest, choose Oregon St. over Gonzaga and 7 other Pac-12 schools, including Oregon, Arizona, Arizona St., Colorado, Washington, Washington St., and Utah.

Rounding out the group is Deven Hunter, from McNary High in Keizer, OR. Hunter, a 6'2" forward, is a three sport athlete for the Celts, and averaged 18.7 points and 12 rebounds per game last season. Hunter opted for the Beavers over offers from Arizona, Washington St., and Kansas St.
