Sacramento St. Start Time To Be 1 PM
The start time has been set for Oregon St.'s season opener against Sacramento St. Kickoff against the Hornets will be at 1 PM on Sat., Sept. 3.
The time, and lack of mention of even a regional television broadcast (Root sports, where are you? Even the Portland St. game was televised by then Fox Sports NW), may mean the game could be one of the last ever "radio only" games broadcast debacles, with the Pac-12 Network only a year away.

I don't want to go through every team's schedule
But Washington State plays at 2:00 PM with no TV, Washington plays at 4:00 PM, Oregon plays at 5:00 PM, and the Mariners aren’t playing on Root Sports on the 3rd.
I don’t get it.

When Comcast got the Pac-12 Network deal,
the Fox Regional networks, and especially the spun-off ones that are now Root, lost all incentive to work with the conference on the games in remote places like Corvallis and Pullman, especially against non-draws like Sacramento St. and Idaho St.
We have now seen the one thing worse than Tom Hansen’s media deal; that deal after the injection of Comcast. And it may not be the last time you won’t be getting it (“it” being coverage of the games).

With ROOT covering the EW-Washington game
I had thought the Oregon St. game would be a natural for a 12:30 start on Root. Maybe if it had been Portland St., they would have been interested, but scheduling Sac. St. meant sacrificing even third tier tv.

I remember the good ol' days
When a game could be played in three hours because there wasn’t TV timeouts after every possession.

That's true.
It’ll be nice to be at a 1:00 game and be out of there before 5 o’clock.
