Cameron Thomas is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound wide receiver from Austin, Texas. The three-star recruit (according to 247 Sports), held offers from FCS schools: Jackson State and Southern University. The Beavers were the first FBS school to offer Thomas and had been rumored as the favorites to earn his commitment. Thomas made his decision official Sunday afternoon on Twitter, after his visit to Corvallis this weekend.

Cameron Thomas marks the 9th football commit of the 2018 class. He joins: Spencer Petras, Isaiah Smalls, Kase Rogers, Jake Dukart, Isaac Hodgins, Andy Koch, Deshon Wilson and Anthony Spurlock. The Beavers are expected to have around 16 scholarships available for the 2018 class and they continue to stay busy since they sent out their official written offers at the start of August.
The Beavers have added their fair share of pass-catchers in the 2018 class, but they couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to add the underrated Cameron Thomas. He uses his height and body well and knows how to high-point the football when quarterback throws a 50/50 ball.
