Last month, Jake decommitted from Arizona State’s baseball program and started to focus more on football. It appears that will be the case at Oregon State as well. He will focus on football, but is also planning on competing on the baseball team.
This will be a big boost not only for Gary Andersen’s team but also Pat Casey’s. Division-I baseball teams are only allowed 11.7 scholarships per team, but with a 35-man roster most players are on partial scholarships. Jake Dukart’s focus on football first will allow more scholarship opportunities for other baseball players.
Jake Dukart marks the fifth commit for Oregon State's 2018 football class. He joins Spencer Petras (QB), Isaac Hodgins (DT), DeShon Wilson (CB) and Halid Djibril (S).
