The Oregon State Beavers picked up an early 2018 commitment from DeShon Wilson. Wilson announced his decision via Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

DeShon Wilson is a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback from Hayward, California. The three-star corner has already received offers from San Jose State, New Mexico, Utah State, Wyoming and Oregon State headed into his senior year of high school.

Wilson was recently interviewed by Rivals and told Beaversedge.com “Oregon State has always been my dream school.”

He also was quoted saying "Coach Baldwin has been following me since my sophomore year. He basically told me that when it was the right time, he'd offer me. He likes my long arms and physicality."

DeShon Wilson also has his eyes on USC and hopes to receive an offer from them in the future, but overall is excited about his decision to commit to Oregon State.

DeShon Wilson’s commit marks the first for Oregon State’s 2018 recruiting class. Wilson is a great addition for the Beavers. He’s a talented cornerback, who isn’t afraid to get physical and tackle the ballcarrier.
