- Head coach Wayne Tinkle has surprised Beaver Nation a bit with his late assembly of the program’s 2018 recruiting haul and on Monday, he tried to add one more late piece to the puzzle, when he extended a scholarship offer to point guard Jordan Lathon. Lathon, a former Northwestern commit who had his admission strangely revoked, is a hot commodity on the recruiting front right now, as Ole Miss, DePaul, Louisville and Oklahoma State have all made recent pushes for the three-star prospect.

- It seems that the Oregon State baseball team can’t play the underdog heading into the NCAA Tournament, as D1Baseball somewhat suspiciously put the Beavers as the #1 overall team in the country in the latest release of their Top 25 national rankings. Conspiracy? Maybe. Retaliation for a legendary Greg Street article? Possibly. But more likely, it’s them finally giving the Beavers the credit they’ve been due for most of the season.
- Onto the pitch for our next link, which comes to us from fantastic Oregon State alum Alan Gordon, who scored this epic game winner in the 82nd minute for the Chicago Fire against Orlando City. It’s important when watching this clip to focus on the actual thirty-foot strike that Gordon netted in the top corner and not let the announcers “if you’re happy and you know it” steal the show.
- Alan Gordon may be known as “The Closer” but head basketball coach Wayne Tinkle will try and steal that moniker for a quick minute, as the Beavers are desperately trying to secure the services of 2019 center, Orlando Robinson. According to this piece from Beaver Blitz, Oregon State made the cut of Robinson’s final five schools, which include some diverse company between Louisville, Georgia Tech, Boise State and Fresno State.
- And finally, the folks over at And The Valley Shook, LSU’s SB Nation site, linked us in their preview of the Tigers heading to the beautiful Beaver State, so we’ll be just as kind to return the favor. They give their opinions (for better or worse) on the whole Corvallis Regional thing from the perspective of a non-Oregonian.
