Today was the first day junior college athletes and early enrolling high school students could sign National Letters of Intent and non-bonding financial aid agreements. In all, Oregon State officially added five new recruits to their football team, but they also missed out on a few guys that initially appeared headed to Oregon State.
New Additions:
- Isaiah Hodgins - WR
- Kolby Taylor - WR
- Craig Evans - DT
- Jake Luton - QB
- Justin Sattelmaier - OT
Check out the inside scoop on each of the new additions here.
Who Got Away?
Jaylon Lane - JUCO DB
Jaylon Lane was ranked as the fifth-best defensive back in the junior college ranks. He originally committed to Oregon State on his official visit just before the Civil War game, but was recruited hard by Texas Tech in recent weeks. Lane flipped his commitment and in a mild surprise chose Texas Tech over Oregon State.

Isaiah Miller - RB
Isaiah Miller decommitted from Oregon State on Monday and has decided to attend Missouri University instead. The three star running back committed to the Beavers early, but was recruited hard by other schools. He likely saw the success that Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce, both who are underclassmen, are having and decided not to fight for carries. This would be a bigger blow for Oregon State’s recruiting efforts, but thankfully talented running back, TJ Green, has already committed to the Beavers.

Xavier Davis - JUCO DE/LB
Xavier was the Beavers first commit for the 2017 class, but changed his mind today and is headed to Kansas State. The junior college player is a great athlete and could be used in a variety of different ways on the football field.

Keisean Nixon - JUCO DB
The top rated junior college defensive back committed to the University of South Carolina today. Oregon State recruited Nixon hard, but ultimately his final two schools were Tennessee and South Carolina.

Who’s Left?
Jordan Agasiva - OL
Agasiva is a 6-foot-4, 280-pound junior college offensive lineman. He is expected to make his announcement later this week. He has narrowed down his decision to Oregon State, TCU and Utah. Earning a commitment from Agasiva would big a huge addition for Oregon State’s offensive line.
George Moore - OL
George Moore decommitted from Washington State today and is weighing his options. Oregon State, Arizona State, Cal and others appear to be in the mix. Moore is a 6-foot-7, 305-pound junior college offensive tackle.
Overall, it was a very good day for Oregon State’s recruiting efforts. Each individual that signed today is an extremely talented football player and will have a big impact for the Beavers. Missing out on players like Jaylon Lane hurts, but earning a commitment from Jordan Agasiva or George Moore (or both) would be huge!
