Justin is a big body that should provide immediate help to Oregon State’s offensive line. At 6-foot-7, 300-pounds he could fight for a starting spot at either tackle position. Justin is a hard working aggressive left tackle. Just check out some of the blocks he delivers here.
He previously attended and played at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR. He didn’t really like the atmosphere there though telling OregonLive.com, ‘‘I didn't really like the school. It was small and a lot of people went home. When I played there, I planned on staying there all five years. It was still college football and still a blessing to play." He then transferred to Palomar C.C. in San Marcos, CA and had goals of attracting a FCS or FBS Universities attention.
For Oregon State, the commitment marks the third offensive line pledge in the class of 2017, joining Central Catholic's Travis Mackay and Washington product Brock Wellsfry.
Earlier this week John Canzano of the Oregonian talked about the need for the Beavers to recruit junior college players to help speed up the rebuilding process and the coaching staff seems to agree as they have been recruiting a bunch of talented junior college players, like Justin Sattelmaier.
Justin had been receiving strong interest from Colorado, San Diego St and Purdue, but made his commitment official Monday night. He will have three years of eligibility remaining once he arrives in Corvallis.
