The big news early in the 2021 season is the opportunity for Oregon State to be above .500 for the first time since 2015. That was back in the Gary Andersen era when the Beavs were 2-1 with wins over San Jose State and Weber State (they finished the year with 9 straight losses though).
If Oregon State beats Idaho this afternoon and improves to 2-1, the Beavers will no doubt have their sights set on something bigger. Oregon State looks to contend for a bowl game this season and will need at least 4 Pac-12 wins in order to do so.
But first Chance Nolan, B.J. Baylor and Oregon State’s improved defense will need to take care of business against Idaho.
