Civil War Week: All the Mean Things you Said About the Ducks

A compilation of Twitter trash talk.

Twitter sports trash talk is one of the quintessential parts of being an American. And for as long as there has been a University of Oregon, Oregon State has hated U of O. The Civil War, one of college football’s oldest rivalries, takes place for the 120th time on Saturday. This is by no means a comprehensive list of all of the Twitter trash talk that has happened since Saturday night, but merely a glimpse into the beautiful hatred that is Civil War week. Here’s all of the mean things you guys have said about the Ducks in one place:

The marketing departments at each respective university are currently engaged in very benign trash talk via video. So far it would appear that Beavers are better at crossing the street, throwing trash away, and also parking (I hope we are also better at football this week).

To close, I think the title of Will Blythe’s book on the North Carolina-Duke basketball rivalry is very fitting for the Civil War: “To Hate Like This Is to Be Happy Forever.” Go Beavs.
