Oregon State got some BIG news Saturday afternoon and it had nothing to do with football. ESPN four-star center and top 100 recruit, Jack Wilson, has committed to Oregon State. Wilson marks the 6th four-star recruit Wayne Tinkle has landed in just three seasons in Corvallis.

Jack Wilson is just a junior in high school and it’ll be a couple years before he’s rocking rims in Gill Coliseum. But, Jack Wilson is fully committed to the Beavers telling OregonLive.com “I wouldn't have committed if I wasn't sure. I'm not going into it with any chance I'll be de-committing. I want to be a Beaver. What I have as core values is what they have as core values”.
Wayne Tinkle and his staff has done an amazing job promoting Oregon State’s family atmosphere in a genuine, down-to-earth way. And that struck a chord with Jack and his mother Shannon when they visited Oregon State.
ESPN has Jack Wilson listed at just 6’9, but they are short changing him big time. He’s actually 7’1 (and 240-pounds). Just look at him next to Wayne Tinkle (for reference Tinkle is 6’10):

This is great news for Beaver fans. Wayne Tinkle has turned the program around quicker than anyone could have expected and recruits are taking notice. The Beavers have already gotten off to a strong start in their upcoming recruiting classes. Jack Wilson marks the first Oregon State commit of the 2018 class and Ethan Thompson and Zach Reichle of the 2017 class have also already committed to Oregon State.
