Oregon State Basketball Lands Top Recruit in Oregon Zach Reichle

The Wilsonville product stays local

Zach Reichle announced his commitment today via a retweeted ESPN tweet that he will be taking his talents down I-5 to Corvallis. The Wilsonville Senior joins an early contender for the best Pac-12 recruiting class in 2017 alongside 4-star recruit, Ethan Thompson.

Reichle, at 6’4” and 200 pounds, will likely contribute minutes at the shooting guard position next year. Touted as the highest rated recruit in Oregon, his 3-point shooting and passing ability have made him a highly sought after player for programs such as UC-Irvine, Princeton, and Stanford. See more about his recruitment and decision here.

Per an interview today with OregonLive, his decision came down to a choice between UC-Irvine and Oregon State:

Zach begins his senior season at Wilsonville on December 2nd against Silverton High School. Building the Dam will continue to highlight his upcoming season as anticipation builds for his arrival at OSU.

This is the third year in a row that Wayne Tinkle and his program have recruited the top talent in the Pacific Northwest to OSU: Drew Eubanks, JaQuari McLaughlin, and now Zach Reichle. Creating a regional pipeline to the Mid-Valley has become an early hallmark of the Tinkle era. As it does so often in Oregon, it appears to be Wayning. Wayning Men.
