Oregon St.'s junior ace Andrew Moore was the National Pitcher of the Week, not to mention also being named the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, for the final week of the regular season, after he threw a 2 hit complete game shutout against California in Oregon St.'s Friday night 4-0 win.
The leader of the Beaver's staff got strikes on 70 of the 99 pitches he needed to get his 7th win of the season, and didn't walk any Bears, allowing only 1 runner into scoring position. Moore induced double plays to erase both Bear base runners.
It's the 3rd time this season Moore has been named the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, and he joins Drew Rasmussen as a National as well as Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week from the conference.
Moore is second in the Pac-12 in both strikeouts, with 103, and ERA, which is at 1.73.
