The Pittsburgh Pirates have (again) selected Oregon State third baseman, Michael Gretler, this time with the 294th pick in the 2018 MLB draft.

Michael Gretler has been a mainstay at third base for the Beavers, making tons of highlight-worthy plays in the hot-corner. His defense has never been in question and he has shown flashes of being extremely dangerous on offense during his time in Corvallis.
Gretler has been a fantastic ballplayer and teammate during his 4-year career in Corvallis. And Pittsburgh is obviously interested in getting his services. Gretler is talented enough to play almost any position defensively and will benefit from spending time in the minor leagues honing his skills at the plate against elite pitchers on a daily basis.
