The high-flying Oregon State baseball player, Andy Atwood, has officially announced his decision to transfer away from the program. We hinted towards a potential transfer last week, but Atwood made it official via Twitter Thursday afternoon.

Andy Atwood is an extremely talented baseball player, but his natural position is the middle infield (shortstop/second base). Unfortunately for Atwood, those spots have already been claimed by Nick Madrigal and Cadyn Grenier. That competition combined with the talented incoming recruiting class and other factors caused Andy Atwood to transfer to receive more playing time and jump start his professional prospects.
In other news, the Oregon State football team has announced a home-and-home series with San Diego State University. The Beavers will host in 2023 and travel in 2026. Oregon State leads the overall series (3-to-2). Neither team has anything else scheduled for the 2023 season or 2026 season, but I’m optimistic they will have enough time to figure out the rest of their non-conference schedule.
Mark your calendars for 2023 and 2026 because Oregon State and San Diego State have scheduled a new home-and-home series. pic.twitter.com/cABsP6up5y
