In a surprising move, touted quarterback prospect, Spencer Petras, has flipped his commitment from Oregon State to the University of Iowa.
Petras, out of Kentfield, California, threw for 4,157 yards and 50 touchdowns in his senior season at Marin Catholic High School. He is currently ranked as the nation’s 19th best pro-style passer.
The 6’ 5” signal caller, who had been committed to the Beavers since May, had this to say about his decision:

The Beavers still have a commitment from quarterback, Jake Dukart, but will likely turn to Jake Luton to begin the 2018 season.
