Talented 4-star running back (TJ Green), who has been committed to Oregon State since August, has changed his mind and decided to attend Utah University just days before National Signing Day.

TJ Green had a dominate senior season at Chandler high and was instrumental in leading his team to another State Championship. Green’s efforts earned him a fourth-star from 247 sports (was a three-star recruit) and earned him national attention.
Just weeks ago TJ Green reopened his recruitment after taking an official visit to Utah.

Green had a great visit and felt at home in Salt Lake City. TJ Green marks the second former 4 star recruit to flip to a different school, in as many days (Jamire Calvin). Early playing time could have been a factor in Green’s commitment. TJ Green could see the field as a freshman for the Utes, while Oregon State has two experienced ball-carriers already entrenched on the depth chart in Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce.
Fortunately, the Beavers have already secured a commitment from speedy running back, Calvin Tyler Jr, but are still looking to add another running back for the 2017 class.
National Signing Day, the first day that recruits can sign national letter of intents, is just days away (Feb. 1st), so expect Gary Andersen and his staff to make a splash or two. The Beavers have earned about 20 verbal commits (counting the early-enrollees and junior college signees), but their 2017 recruiting class should finish 25 strong. Stay tuned to Building the Dam as we will have all your Oregon State National Signing Day coverage.
