Beavers Baseball has been picked #5 Nationally in a preseason poll by Baseball America. The Beavers are the highest-ranked team from the Pac-12 Conference, garnering 485 points. TCU is No. 1 nationally with 496 points, followed by LSU (494), Florida (491) and South Carolina (489).

As you remember last season, OSU was snubbed by the selection committee and left out of the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Pat Casey was quoted as saying to the team after the snub was made public that, “Life sometimes isn't fair and this is a very unfair decision made by a group of people that don't play the game." Here is the full article on the snub, from the Oregonian.

Another piece to get your Beavers baseball juices flowing can be found over at Best College Sports News Network, about Oregon State baseball’s 2018 recruiting class.

I was one of many who is happy that Gonzaga is back on the schedule, after they were left off last year. Here is the Beavers full 2017 schedule.

Key Returning Players include:

Bryce Fehmel (Pitcher, 10-1 2.31 ERA)

KJ Harrison (INF/C .265 AVG 14 Doubles / 4 Triples / 4 HR’s / 47 RBI)

I will go much more in depth as baseball season approaches in returning players and those that have moved on, plus some pieces focusing on the incoming freshman group for this Beavers baseball group.

Still looking for more? Baseball America also projects the Beavers to make it to the College World Series, as the only Pac-12 representative.
