Week 10 TV Schedule

Most of this week's football will be after Halloween, but you can count on a lot of seasonal fun at Saturday's games.

Week 10 of the college football season kicks off tonight, with a game of some national interest, as #2 Florida St. (7-0, 4-0) visits #25 Louisville (6-2, 4-2) in an ACC contest at 4:30 PM PDT on ESPN. It's the game in which the defending National Champion Seminoles are likely to face their stiffest challenge the rest of the year in, and therefore the game in which they are most likely to suffer a loss that could bump them out of the inaugural College Football Playoff.

It's one of 2 games that will have a direct bearing on the top 4, as #3 Auburn (6-1, 3-1) visits #4 Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1) Saturday afternoon, in a game that will eliminate one of the many SEC West teams in contention unless there are a whole host of other upsets as well (which could happen).

There are 3 other games matching 2 top 25 teams this weekend, and 2 of them are in the Pac-12, along with #7 TCU's (6-1, 3-1) visit to Big XII foe #20 West Virginia (6-2, 4-1) Saturday afternoon.

Both are Saturday night affairs, with #12 Arizona (6-1, 3-1) visiting #22 UCLA (6-2, 3-2) at 7:30 PM, and then the big one, with #17 Utah (6-1, 3-1) visiting #14 Arizona St., (6-1, 4-1) at 8 PM AST & PDT (9 PM MDT for the Utah fans watching from home).

ESPN has the 'Cats and the Bruins from the Rose Bowl, while Fox 1 has the Utes and Darkness Devils in Tempe.

Those games will be worthwhile recording for Beaver Fans, who will be busy at the same time, with Oregon St.'s (4-3, 1-3) Homecoming contest against California (4-4, 2-4), which also starts at 7:30 PM PDT. The Pac-12 Channel has the coverage of the Beavers and the Bears.

Earlier in the afternoon, still another big Pac-12 game unfolds just down the road from Corvallis, when Stanford (5-3, 3-2) visits #5 Oregon (7-1, 4-1) at 4:30 PM PDT in Autzen Stadium. FOX has the coverage of this one, which obviously has Pac-12 North, Pac-12, and National Championship implications as well, given that at least one of the teams ahead of the Ducks will lose this weekend, opening the door for a run at the Final 4, Of course the Cardinal still have designs on those same Pac-12 North and Pac-12 Championships, and a New Years Day bowl as well.

The entire Pac-12 is in conference action this Saturday, and the day starts with Washington (5-3, 1-3) visiting Colorado (2-6, 0-5) at 11 AM MDT in Boulder, which is 10 AM PDT (and Husky body clock) time. The Pac-12 Channel has the coverage of this game as well.

The other conference contest has USC (5-3, 4-2) at Washington St. (2-6, 1-4), at 1:30 PM PDT. The Pac-12 Channel also has the coverage of this game from Pullman.

Here's the complete national TV schedule, adjusted for East Coast Bias time. (Does that change Sunday morning, when the rest of us except for those in Arizona set our clocks back, recovering at least 1 hour lost to night games?)
