Oregon St. head coach Mike Riley welcomes TE Matt Snyder as the newest Beaver.

Oregon St. head coach Mike Riley makes it a point to have more quality tight ends on the Beaver roster than some conferences can boast, and that tradition continued with the commitment of Matt Snyder this evening.

Snyder is a 6'5", 245 lb 3-star TE from San Ramon, CA, which firs right into the mold of an Oregon St. tight end.

Here's some highlights:

It's a notable get for Riley, as Snyder, who was impressed enough after his "official" visit to Corvallis to take a second trip, selected the Beavers over offers from California, Fresno St., Colorado St., Utah St., San Jose St., Nevada, New Mexico, Idaho, and even Ivy League Yale.

And with seniors Connor Hamlett and Jacob Wark leaving after this year, and Caleb Smith and Kellen Clute being juniors, there will be plenty of need for a quality TE in the next few years.
