Then I don’t understand why we would need to “tighten” anything up.

Important consideration here is I wasn’t even thinking about profanity actually for I agree and I haven’t read much of that, and so I was more focused on content of postings and not sure what ArbyOSU meant by a need to “tighten” it up around here for Jake to be taken seriously for a possible press pass and things like “rumor mill” postings.

So if we tightened things up beyond the level of what I consider pretty good quality postings, all the way around, I would wonder if we would lose some of the more “fan” elements.

Possible Example: Hence the “slippery slope” in that in reality who is then left as a press pass level of an “author” here on BtD if what we have now is too loose? I wouldn’t consider myself to be that. So does that leave maybe Jake and AndyPanda who have some sports writing experience? And the rest of us regulated to fan postings?

As such that is what I’m getting at in that I personally think that BtD right now has a pretty good balance of looseness as fans posting about their favorite team and some pretty decent quality amateur sports writing by the main writers, and indeed even those who just fanpost (like you Figgi4life). “Amateur” in none of us get paid for writing here.

So do you also think BtD needs to tighten things up to be taken more “seriously?” As such how far off BlazersEdge are we, which seems to be standard bearer around here?

Am I really for once disagreeing with ArbyOSU?
