Arizona 76, Oregon 57: The Pac-10 season continued Thursday night at Mac Court, with the Arizona Wildcats taking on the Oregon Ducks. Arizona came into the game with a great record of 11-2, while the Ducks came in on a two game losing streak at 7-5.

The game could really be summed up in the first ten minutes, with Arizona hitting all of their shots and Oregon missing most of their own. The Wildcats jumped out to a 23-9 lead, but the Ducks played the rest of the half even. Arizona led 37-22 at Halftime.

The 2nd Half went back and forth all the way through, but the Ducks could never cut very far into the UA lead. Oregon did cut the Arizona lead to 12 at 50-38, but the Wildcats settled down and made sure that the Ducks would not pull any closer.

Kevin Parrom led the Wildcats with 20 points, especially impressive after coming off the bench. Jeremy Jacob led Oregon with 17.

Oregon State
80, Arizona State 58: "Joe Burton came off the bench to lead Oregon St. to an 22 point win over Arizona St. in the Pac-10 Conference opener for both teams Thursday night in Gill Coliseum. Burton poured in a career high 17 points, 9 in the second half, and just missed a double double, pulling down a game high 9 rebounds. Jared Cunningham was close behind, with 16 points, and the Beavers got a lot of bench production, as Ahmad Starks and Roberto Nelson both were also in double figures, with 12 points apiece.

Ty Abbott led everyone in scoring, with 18 points for Arizona St., but the Sun Devils were without their leading scorer, Trent Lockett, who averages 14.7 points per game. Lockett sat out the game with a sprained big toe." (Recap via Building the Dam)
