The Oregon State Baseball team got off to a slow start at the Pac-12 tournament, dropping the opener to freshman Joey Volchko and a Stanford club that got hot in pool play. That was enough to put the Beavers on the back foot of tiebreaker math and led to an early flight back to Corvallis.
Fortunately, the regular season resume was enough for OSU to earn the #15 overall national seed in the tournament that truly matters, and the Beavers will host a regional at Goss Stadium for the 10th time in program history and the second time in Mitch Canham’s five years at the helm.
Oregon State will welcome UC Irvine, Nicholls State, and Tulane to town. A quick rundown of each team is below, along with the schedule for the regional that begins on Friday. A more in-depth preview will be coming later this week in advance of Nicholls and UC Irvine squaring off on Friday afternoon.
