The White Sox have one of the best records in Major League Baseball and they traded for a talented pitcher. Craig Kimbrel is one of the best relievers/closers in baseball and will certainly help them moving forward. Madrigal was ruled out for the season after having to have surgery on his hamstring, but as Oregon State fans know he’s crazy talented. The White Sox decided to go all in for this season, while the Cubs decided to tear it down and rebuild for the future. The good news is that Madrigal is staying in the same city.

Ethan Thompson Signed by Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with Ethan Thompson (Oregon state), a league source told @HoopsHype.

After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft; the Bulls pounced on the opportunity to sign Ethan Thompson to an Exhibit 10 Contract. This contract allows them to invite Thompson to training camp, but does not guarantee him a roster spot. Tres Tinkle signed a similiar contract with the Lakers last season, but ultimately did not make the final roster.
Jade Carey - Team USA Gymnastics
As many of you know, USA Gymnastics is a big deal. Jade Carey verbally committed to competing in NCAA gymnastics at Oregon State University, starting in the 2018-19 school year; but has deferred competing until after the Olympics. The move is paying off as she is turning into a star at the Tokyo Olympics. After Simone Biles dropped out Carey took over all-around finishing 8th (out of 24 gymnasts). She’s already won a silver medal with team USA and is a favorite to win medals in her two best events (Vault & Floor).
