Strand has the perfect frame to develop into an outstanding offensive tackle. He will need sometime to adjust to the step up in competition and could use a couple of years to add muscle and weight. He’s a good athlete and also held a scholarship offer from Air Force before the Beavers offered him.
This is a solid pickup for Oregon State, there’s nothing better than grabbing the top in-state talent and offensive line is always a position of need. Strand joins a talented group of commits including: Carlos Mack (S), Dylan Lopez (C), Melvin Jordan (LB), Travis Throckmorton (QB), Cole Prusia (WR) and Damien Martinez (RB).
