Carlos Mack is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound Safety from Edison High School in California. He visited Oregon State’s campus recently and officially announced his decision on Twitter today.

The talented Safety prospect is an excellent athlete and has good size/length for the position. He also held scholarship offers from: Colorado State, Fresno State, Northern Arizona and Sacramento State. A bunch of other Pac-12 schools were also recruiting him, but Oregon State was the first to pull the trigger and offer him a scholarship.

The class of 2022 continues to build and the future looks bright. Mack joins a talented group of commits including: Dylan Lopez (C), Melvin Jordan (LB), Travis Throckmorton (QB), Cole Prusia (WR) and Damien Martinez (RB).

This is a solid pickup for Oregon State at a position of need. Jaydon Grant, EJ Jones and potentially Rejzohn Wright are veterans in the secondary but they won’t be around to lead the defense forever.
