Brooklyn Hicks, a 6’ 3” guard from Timberline High School in Washington, picked up an offer from Oregon State this week, confirmed via a post on his Twitter account. Hicks is a member of the 2023 class, making him the first target of the Beavers program in that group.

thank you oregon state and coach tinkle pic.twitter.com/87e3y0tdbO
A rising talent who was selected to the 3A South Sound Conference First-Team as a freshman last year, Hicks scooped up his first scholarship in April of 2020 from Eastern Washington. He also holds offers from Cal Poly, Long Beach State and Washington State, in addition to a long list of interest from programs.
On the court, Hicks is a smooth finisher around the rim with a strong jump shot, who simply has a knack for the ball when he’s on the court. He has the ability to use his length and instincts to read passing lanes on defense and an exceptional passing ability to make plays for teammates. He projects long-term as a likely high-major recruit, who might be one of the best players in his class on the west coast.
