One of the Beavers’ top JUCO recruits has decided to pursue his career elsewhere. Alex Lemon, a Defensive End who most recently attended Iowa Central Community College, announced yesterday that he had decided to decommit from Oregon State.
Lemon has had a tumultuous path to college football. After attending Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley, California, Lemon committed to Arizona State early in 2019. A few months later, he decommitted from ASU and announced his decision to attend Oregon State.
Unfortunately, Lemon ran into academic trouble, and made the decision to start college at Iowa Central Community College. At the time, he still intended to become a Beaver, but it appears his plans have changed over the summer. Lemon is still a high rated prospect, being ranked as the 2nd best JUCO DE in the country. He has already drawn offers from Tennessee and Arkansas.
The Beavers prospects on the Defensive Line still look pretty solid; just last week they landed a commit from three star prospect Omarion Fa’amoe. There’s sure to be more recruiting news coming as we head into the fall, regardless of whatever happens with the football season, so be sure to check back frequently.
