DJ Jefferson, a class of 2022 prospect originally from Richardson, Texas, who now plays his high school basketball at Minnesota Prep Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota received an offer from Oregon State this week, according to a post on his Twitter account.

Listed at around 6’ 4” and 190-pounds, Jefferson’s offer from Oregon State adds to the laundry list of schools vying for the talented recruit’s services, including the likes of fellow Pac-12 program Arizona State, DePaul, Georgetown, Oregon, TCU and Tulsa, among others.

Speaking to 247 Sports, Jefferson told the outlet that Oregon state is “one of the three schools recruiting him the hardest” and that “the earliest he would consider committing is this summer (2021)”.

He also described his game in solid detail, stating that “my strength is going to the basket hard, creating for myself and others, attacking the lane, getting buckets, creating shots for myself. I’m working on my defensive awareness, knowing where the ball is and my man at all times, my hip rotation and being coachable on the floor.”

Jefferson is now the Beavers seventh target in the 2022 class, which encompasses players who play their high school basketball in six different states.
