ESPN has let the cat out of the bag. A few hours ahead of their big reveal show for the NCAA Women’s Tournament bracket, the worldwide leader in sports revealed portions of the bracket in their on screen graphics on ESPNU.
For Oregon State, that means a fourth overall seed, and a first round matchup with the Boise State Broncos. Gonzaga and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock will also be meeting for a first round match up in Corvallis.
The Beavers were seeded into the Albany regional, featuring Louisville as the #1 seed, UConn as the #2 seed, and Maryland as the #3 seed. It’s going to be a tough road for the Beavers. The tournament’s other #1 seeds are Baylor in the Greensboro Regional, Mississippi State in the Portland Regional, and Notre Dame in the Chicago Regional.
Other Pac-12 schools making the cut include Stanford as the #2 seed in the Chicago Regional, Oregon as the #2 seed in the Portland Regional, Arizona State as the #5 seed in the Portland Regional, UCLA as the #6 seed in the Albany Regional, and California as the #8 seed in the Greensboro Regional.
