Wayne Tinkle’s squad got some backcourt help Wednesday morning when Jarod Lucas announced on his Twitter that he will be a Beaver in 2019.

Lucas will make the journey to Corvallis from Los Altos, California where he played for Los Altos High School and the Compton Magic. He measures in at 6’2” and 180 pounds.

247 Sports lists him as the #234 recruit in the nation, the #30 combo guard in the nation, and the #27 recruit in the state of California.

Lucas also had offers from Utah Valley, UNLV, Tulane, Santa Clara, Nevada, Montana, Fresno State, Cal State Northridge, Albany, and Hawaii.

This past December, he competed in the Bellflower Tournament and dropped forty points in the opening game. Here are highlights of that performance from Ballislife.com.
