Jordan Campbell is a 6-foot-2 combo guard from Adelanto, California. The former San Diego State commit took an official visit to Oregon State’s campus last week (4/25/18). At the time he was interviewed by Mike Singer at BeaversEdge.com and said he was still considering San Diego State, but wanted to keep his options open. It appears that his visit to Corvallis went well enough that he is ready to shut down his recruitment and head North to play for Wayne Tinkle.
Campbell is an athletic guard and uses all of his 6’2, 160-pound frame to hound ball-handlers on the defensive end. Wayne Tinkle seems to enjoy finding defensive-minded guards that can play his physical, grind-it-out style and Campbell is no exception.
The Beavers are looking to build on last season’s 16-16 (7-11 Pac-12) record; despite the fact that Drew Eubanks decided to sign with an agent and turn pro. Oregon State will welcome back key contributors though and others will look to fill the void left by Drew Eubanks in the frontcourt. The Beavers still have three scholarship spots open for the 2018-19 season.
