Ryan Nall is officially a professional football player.

The Bears signed Nall immediately following the NFL draft. There was questions as to what position teams saw Nall playing at the next level. Behind Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen the Bears do not have a lot of depth at running back and Nall will have a good chance to make the 53-man roster. Following an up and down (mainly due to injuries) career in Corvallis, that almost included a move to linebacker, Nall decided to forgo his final year of eligibility and head to the NFL instead of playing for a 4th head coach.
Ryan Nall at 6’2 and 235-pounds is a very different running back than Tarik Cohen (5’6, 175-pounds) and Jordan Howard (6’1, 225-pounds). Nall is also versatile enough to see the field in a number of different ways.
How will Nall fit in the NFL? That remains to be seen, but he should have a good chance to make the roster and find a niche in Chicago.
