Kurt Paulson Leaving OSU to Coach Carroll College

Oregon State’s Director of Basketball Operations Will Return to his Alma Mater

Montana Athletics

Kurt Paulson, Oregon State’s Director of Basketball Operations, has been announced as the new head coach off Carroll College.

Paulson is a graduate of Carroll, a private college in Helena, Montana. Paulson got his start in coaching there, joining the coaching staff as an assistant after his graduation. After a time spent coaching High School ball, he joined Wayne Tinkle’s coaching staff at the University of Montana. When Tinkle left Montana to coach the Beavers, Paulson followed him to become the Director of Basketball Operations.

The Fighting Saints of Carroll College have been a mainstay of the NAIA Tournament in recent years, having reached the Elite 8 twice in their last three seasons. Paulson will take over for coach Carson Cunningham, who left to take over the head coaching position at Incarnate Word.

Once Oregon State hires a new Director of Basketball Operations, Building the Dam will let you know, so be sure to check back.
