Trevor Larnach continued his fantastic start to the offensive season with a two-run shot over the centerfield wall in the first inning of the game. He finished the day 1-3 and walked twice. He’s up to 12 RBIs through the first seven games of 2018.
Steven Kwan, Kyle Nobach, Michael Gretler, and Jack Anderson each also had an RBI in this game. The rest of the Beavs’ runs came at the hands of some clever baserunning and taking advantage of errors by the Nebraska defense.
Bryce Fehmel threw 6.6 innings with three strikeouts and allowed five hits. Brandon Eisert appeared in relief and struck out two while allowing three hits in 1.1 innings. Dylan Pearce closed out the final inning with one strikeout and he allowed one hit. Fehmel moves to 2-0 on the year.
After all that, Oregon State moves to 7-0 on the year.
Oregon State has one more game in the Surprise against Ohio State before heading home to Corvallis. That game is in progress as this recap posts.
