The Oregon State Beavers have been hard at work recruiting playmaking tight ends in the 2018 recruiting class, but they missed out on a talented in-state recruit when Teagan Quitoriano picked the Oregon Ducks on Saturday. The Ducks hosted a “Saturday Night Live” camp and Quitoriano made his decision official just before the camp started (Oregon and Oregon State were his top 2 schools).

The Beavers were hoping to land Teagan Quitoriano’s services because he could have provided immediate pass catching help. The Oregon native is a phenomenal athlete who dominates on the football field as well as the basketball court. Quitoriano named the Beavers and Ducks as his top-2 schools and could ultimately make significant contributions on the field as well as the court.

Quitoriano apparently took basketball out of the equation when he committed to the Ducks. He’s not ruling it out completely but believes his future is on the football field and doesn’t want to spend time focusing on basketball if he won’t see much playing time. Oregon State will now likely focus on landing a commitment from Cole Turner another talented in-state tight end.
