- Gary Horowitz of the Statesman Journal has reported that Kelly Sullivan announced his retirement as the head coach of the Oregon State's women's track and field and cross country programs. When he took over in 2004, Sullivan brought back the two programs after a 16-year hiatus and helped to spurn a new era of the sport in Corvallis.
- The top-ranked baseball squad on the field is also one of the best groups in the classroom, as Steve Mims of the Register Guard recently wrote about the Oregon State baseball team leading the Pac-12 in all-academic honors. Pitchers Jake Thompson and Max Engelbrekt and outfielder Jack Anderson all received spots on the all-academic first-team.
- The Oregonian was on top of the Pac-12 releasing the TV schedule and kick-off times for the 2017 football season, which included Oregon State’s home debut against Portland State receiving an 11:00 AM PT start time. The Beavers season-opener will take place on Saturday, August 26th at 12:00 PM PT on the CBS Sports Network against Colorado State.
- SB Nation has compiled a list of early betting lines for 77 of the biggest games for the upcoming college football season and despite knocking off in-state rival Oregon last year, the Beavers open up this campaign as an underdog in the annual Civil War battle. The list of odds, via Odd Shark, is a great resource for many of the highly-anticipated clashes of the 2017 season.
- The 2017 NBA Draft is now less than a month away but Draft Express is already working on their 2018 NBA Mock Drafts, which features Oregon State forward Drew Eubanks as the projected #38 overall pick. According to the site’s projection, Eubanks would be selected before other Pac-12 prospects in UCLA’s Aaron Holiday and Arizona’s Rawle Alkins.
