  • Gary Horowitz of the Statesman Journal has reported that Kelly Sullivan announced his retirement as the head coach of the Oregon State's women's track and field and cross country programs. When he took over in 2004, Sullivan brought back the two programs after a 16-year hiatus and helped to spurn a new era of the sport in Corvallis.

  • The top-ranked baseball squad on the field is also one of the best groups in the classroom, as Steve Mims of the Register Guard recently wrote about the Oregon State baseball team leading the Pac-12 in all-academic honors. Pitchers Jake Thompson and Max Engelbrekt and outfielder Jack Anderson all received spots on the all-academic first-team.
