The announcement will reportedly occur after the season ends.
Baldwin, 45, made a name for himself as the head coach of the Eastern Washington University Eagles before joining Justin Wilcox’s Cal staff last offseason. The pacific northwest native led the Eagles from 2008 to 2016, including a 2010 national title and a 2013 upset of the #25 team in the nation in Reser. Baldwin was rumored to be one of the finalists in the 2014 coaching search that eventually went to Gary Andersen.
